DJ Service – Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment

Your booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid by the due date on your invoice.

If the balance is not paid on time, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
-
Any additional charges (travel, accommodation, early setup, special equipment) will be communicated before booking.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
-
All cancellations must be made in writing (email is fine).
-
Deposits are non‑refundable.
-
Cancellation fees:
-
More than 30 days before the event: Deposit retained; any other payments refunded.
-
Within 30 days: Up to 50% of the total fee may be charged.
-
Within 7 days: Full payment may be required.
-

If the DJ must cancel due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond control, a suitable replacement will be arranged where possible. If not, a full refund will be issued.
3. Equipment, Setup & Technical Requirements
-
The client must provide safe access to power, a stable performance area, and weather protection for outdoor events.
-
The DJ may pause or stop the performance if conditions become unsafe.
-
Guests must not interfere with DJ equipment.
4. Damage to Equipment
-
The client is responsible for any damage to DJ equipment caused by guests, attendees, or anyone invited to the event.
-
Damage caused by the DJ or equipment failure unrelated to guest interference will not be charged to the client.

If damage occurs:

A repair or replacement quote will be obtained from a qualified technician or supplier.
-
The cost will be added to the final invoice or billed separately after the event.

The DJ is not responsible for damage caused by venue electrical faults or unsafe venue conditions.
5. Music Selection & Requests

You may submit playlists or preferred genres before the event.
-
The DJ will do their best to accommodate requests but cannot guarantee availability of all songs.
-
The DJ may refuse requests that are inappropriate, offensive, or breach licensing rules.
-
The DJ maintains creative control over mixing and performance style.
6. Photography & Video Usage

The DJ may capture photos or short video clips during the event for promotional use (e.g., website, social media).
-
You may opt out by notifying the DJ in writing before the event.
-
All media captured by the DJ remains the property of the DJ service.
-
The client is responsible for informing guests that photography or filming may occur.
7. Legal Requirements & Compliance

The DJ will comply with all relevant laws, including noise restrictions and venue regulations.
-
The client is responsible for obtaining any required venue permissions or permits.
-
Public liability insurance is held by the DJ and can be provided upon request.
-
The client must not request the DJ to break venue rules or legal requirements.
8. Liability & Safety
-
The DJ is not liable for:
-
Power failures or venue‑related technical issues.
-
Delays caused by unsafe conditions or venue restrictions.
-
Damage or injury caused by guests interfering with equipment.
-
-
The client is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for the DJ to perform.
9. Force Majeure
-
Neither party is liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions.
10. Acceptance of Terms

By paying the deposit or confirming the booking in writing, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
11. Optional Extras & Additional Services
11.1 Overtime / Extended Hours

Overtime may be requested on the day, subject to availability.
-
Charged at the DJ’s hourly or part‑hourly rate.
-
Payment must be made before overtime begins.
11.2 Additional Sound or Lighting Equipment
-
Extra speakers, subwoofers, lighting effects, uplighting, and special effects can be added for an additional fee.
-
Some effects may require venue approval.
11.3 Microphone & PA Hire
-
Wireless microphones, lapel mics, and additional PA systems are available at extra cost.
-
Users must handle equipment safely.
11.4 Ceremony or Multi‑Location Setup
-
Additional fees apply for multiple setups (e.g., ceremony + reception).
-
Adequate time must be provided for safe transitions between locations.
11.5 Travel, Accommodation & Early Setup
-
Travel fees may apply for events outside the standard service area.
-
Accommodation may be required for long‑distance or late‑night events.
-
Early setup or standby time may incur additional charges.
11.6 Custom Music Edits

Custom mixes or edited tracks can be created for an additional fee.
-
Requests must be submitted at least 14 days before the event.
11.7 MC Services
-
MC (Master of Ceremonies) services are available for an additional fee.
-
Responsibilities and announcements will be agreed in advance.
11.8 Event Content Creation

Optional content creation services may include:
-
Short‑form video clips
-
Crowd shots
-
Behind‑the‑scenes footage
-

All content remains the property of the DJ unless otherwise agreed.
11.9 Venue Pack‑Down Restrictions

If the venue imposes delays or specific pack‑down times, additional waiting fees may apply.
11.10 Equipment Security
-
If equipment must remain set up and unattended, the client must ensure the area is secure.
-
Any damage caused by guests during unattended periods will be charged to the client.
